I want to write more and I thought this would be a great platform to try to get back into the swing of it. Ultimately, I have a half-written book sitting here. I need to finish it. To do so, I need to get back into the habit of writing.
Also, from time to time, people tell me that something I said (or wrote) impacted them in a positive way, made them think, helped them along their path, or changed it in some way. There are few things more gratifying to me than someone saying anything I have done or said made a difference in their life. Who knows, maybe more of that will come from this.
This isn’t going to be about any specific topic. This is just what’s on my mind. I might write about running, travel, politics, entertainment, pop culture or any other random subject.
I suspect I will talk about some things that you can relate to. And many things that you have no interest in. And everything in between. I may infuriate you. You may change your mind about how you feel about me. You may attempt to cancel me. I welcome that.
I am grateful to anyone that reads this. Comments make me smile. But if you start a fight with me, argue and criticize me….you’re my people.
But seriously, this is just me writing. Feel free to ignore me. This isn’t about my feelings. Just my thoughts.
About me (in case someone stumbled upon this and has no idea): I’m painstakingly mediocre. In terms of intellect, athleticism, professionally, etc. I’m a sometimes: lawyer (Boyd & Kummer, LLC), runner (Results) , podcaster (Ten Junk Miles), race director (Ten Junk Miles) and now, maybe, writer?
I live in Chicago with my talented wife Kylia Kummer and my 12 year old doberman Dovi.
Stay tuned.
Come on Kummer! “Write it, damn you, write it! What else are you good for?”
